Le Petit Zinc (84 / 365)
Today for Mother’s Day, we had a late lunch at Le Petit Zinc with two other families from First Presbyterian. Le Petit Zinc is a delicious French restaurant in downtown Detroit off of Trumbull, and happens to be the restaurant where Keith & Sue’s son, Tommy, is chef.
The name, Le Petit Zinc, is taken from French slang to mean local bar. Many French neighborhood bars cover the top of the bar in zinc metal which, overtime, the wear and tear on the metal gives the bar top unique textures as each patron literally leaves their mark.
The food was delicious, the company marvelous, the weather gorgeous and the restaurant busy!
